Specimen Quality Codes
Most of our framed butterflies, insects, and taxidermy specimens are offered in high, museum-grade condition. For rare, high-value, or unique pieces, we may include a quality grade to give collectors additional clarity.
When grading is used, we follow the standard natural history specimen codes:
- A1: Perfect or near-perfect condition
- A1-: Very minor natural imperfection
- A-: Small visible imperfection or slight damage
- A2: Noticeable damage or structural imperfection
If a specimen is graded, the exact condition will be clearly listed in the product description. Items without a grade are standard high-quality display pieces suitable for collectors and décor.
